Based on a analysis of numerical algorithms for approximation of
moredimensional funtions in term of effort, monotony and accuracy a method
was developed to modell devices and circuits as an alternativ to analytical
modeling.
Investigations for the modelling of the electronic behavior of integrated
transistors with table models showed that a high topicality of the model
data can be achieved concerning the target technology. Table models possess
the singular characteristic that the accuracy of the modelling can become
preset on the desired measure.

The method of the table modelling is expanded since macro circuits of the similar to and digital technique. During the transition for the scheduling of macro circuits CPU time savings up to 75% is possible and also the simulation of larger circuits.
The use of table models is limited not to Simulationen of
purely electrical systems, but can be extended to the area of mixed
systems (electrically, mechanically, thermally). Analytically in
particular with difficulty detectable functions are to be represented
with the help of tabulated approximations.

The following figures show the tabulated output current of a two-stage CMOS - operation amplifier in two different nonlinear cases of delimitation.

The figures show the model and the result of the self-heating modelling of a bipolar transistor by tabulated functions.
